2017 – The Museum of Fezology

A long overdue fezzy update!

Well hello there, intrepid reader! It’s been a while since we’ve updated the fez museum, but we’ve picked up a few interesting new pieces that we wanted to share with you.

First, stop over to the Ladies Shrine organizations page where we’ve added a basic Shrine Guild member’s fez. Passing from that, we find the Boo Hum Dit Dum added to the occupational groups section. This organization was hard to track down and we’d love to know more about it! Lastly, we’ve added a whole new exhibit on the Knights of Peter Claver, a traditionally African-American lay Catholic fraternal order.

Look, in the sky, a new fez!

Holy smokes! It’s been a while since we’ve updated the Fez Museum. But, worry not! We’re still collecting fezzes as we find them and posting them here to sate your curiousity!

Today, we add four next pieces to the collection, across three different fraternal groups.

First up is a rare white Macabees fez. While it has some moth damage, it is in remarkable shape for an old piece. It’s also very tiny and may have been made for a child! Research into this fez continues.

Next is a very unique Order of Alhambra fez. The design is entirely embroidered in one color, making it distinct amongst the other pieces. Thank you to the seller who contacted us through this website!

Last, we add two Ancient Mystic Order of Samaritans Past Divisonal Monarchos fezzes (say that five times fast!) both are very rare and make excellent additions to our exhibit, so check them out!
