Well then, an update!

Mayor richard daley in fezWhile we had planned to do an update much sooner, rather than the current state of later, we’ve finally added some new pieces to the collection worth noting.

A rare find indeed, we’ve added a Supreme Treasurer’s fez to our AHEPA exihibit. Following that, check out the new Kolo Sanctorum in our AMOS area. Lastly, we wrap up this update with a Yedz fez over in our Grotto area.

As always, we continue our search for new and unique fezzes, so feel free to contact us if you have something strange that you are looking to part with!

Updates Galore!

25480981aad98f9bd7206b73a69d9648As you can see, over the summer we’ve updated the look and feel of the Museum of Fezology. We hope you enjoy it and find it easier to navigate and use! During the update, we also added several new displays to the collection.

First up, we have five new fezzes in the Grotto and Related area, including an older Grotto fez and a complete set of Daughters of Mokanna fezzes, including a Past Supreme Mighty Chosen One fez, generously donated by the Supreme Caldron of the organization.

We’ve added another piece to the Occupational Groups exhibit, with a Pennslvania Shield and Square Club fez, used by law enforcement and protective services members that were also Freemasons.

Another fez was added to the Sciots exhibit, hailing from New Jersey Pyramid No. 1. During the summer, the Curator the Museum became a member of New Jersey Pyramid No. 3, but was given a No. 1 fez, as no No. 3 fezzes were available in his size.

Another example of a Past High Priestess’s fez was added to the Shrine Ladies area, coming from Neptune Court in New Jersey.

Lastly, we have a brand new exhibit dedicated to the Princes of Bagdad, a side body to the Ancient and Illustrious Order of the Knights of Malta.

We have a couple of fezzes on their weay to the museum now, so we hope to update again in the very near future.

Fezmas in July!

Sciots Man San DiegoWell hello there, intrepid fez fan! Thanks for stopping by and checking out the Museum. We have a couple of really interesting updates for you, so let’s get cracking!

First up, we have three new fezzes in our Ancient Egyptian Order of Sciots exhibit, including two old members fezzes and one VERY rare Libyan Guard fez. You have to it to appreciate how cool it is!

Next up, we have two fezzes from the Prince Hall Ladies of the Circle of Perfection, both from Esther Grand Court in Pennsylvania, including a Past Royal Grand Pefect Matron’s fez. It’s quite shiny and was obviously proudly worn!

It’s been an excellent month for additions to the collection and we look forward to bringing you more updates as we acquire pieces. Until next time – Fez on!

Summer Fezzin’ Fun

HatShopFezHi there loyal fez fan! We have some awesome updates for you today, so let’s dive right in!

First up is a new mystery to the museum, a purple fez with the word Fashoda written on it. Is it a Shrine piece? Is it from another fraternal organization? Take a look and let us know what you think!

Next is a new exhibit from the Greek American Progressive Association, or GAPA. This hat was donated to us by the fine folks at the Cambridge Masonic Temple Museum and we are really excited to share it with you, so check it out!

Lastly, we’ve obtained another fez from the Nuwabian religious sect, this time in green. If you have any information on what the different fez colors from this group mean, we’d love to know!

Thanks for checking in and we hope you have a great (and cool) summer!

Keep on Fezzing

fezcatWell, hello there! It’s been a bit since our last update. We found that we had failed to respond to several requests for information (which are now responded to.) Work has been keeping us busy, leaving us less time for fezzing. But, fear not – we’re back with an update and four new fezzes for the collection!

First, swing by the Ancient Mystic Order of Bagmen of Bagdad (sic) area and see a rare members fez, in white and blue. From there, check out updates to the Oriental Order of Humility and Perfection page (a new members fez) as well as the Ancient Mystic Order of Samaritans page (which features a new Past Monarchos fez.) Finally, we bring you a brand new exhibit, featuring the White Shrine of Jerusalem, a Masonic group for men and women.

We thank you for your patience with my updates and responses and We hope you keep on fezzing!
